Like a bird in the cage wanting to be free
Reaming the cage and flying far away
The feeling of not belonging here consuming you
Having everything and still nothing
The emptiness is killing you
You know how hard you try you can't escape.
All you want is death now,
thinking that it can set you free, make you happy...
A new life, a new place to start from the beginning
All these thoughts tempt you
And then you are standing on the chair
with a rope around your neck,
All the memories of all these years
strike you like lightning
Just one more step, one more step
And you are free
You know this is what you always wanted
It can set you free
But your legs are frozen; you can't move
The person inside you giving you reasons
Why you should stay
You know this is what you want but
Yet you don't want it,
It can set you free, give you happiness yet
It's your biggest fear now.
You stand there still...
